Specialty Cheese Shop Edam

The Wine & Specialty Cheese Shop in Edam (Wijn & Kaasspeciaalzaak Edam) is located on the Spui in the world-famous city of cheese, Edam. The store is housed in a monumental building dating from the 16th century. A specialty cheese shop has always been located here from 1947 onward; since 1990, this shop has been run by Bessel van Veen, a connoisseur with a great passion for anything that has to do with wine and cheese.



In addition to our own homemade cheese manufactured from cow, goat and sheep’s milk, we also have a large assortment of both young and aged cheeses from the Beemster polder and a great variety of organic and foreign kinds of cheese.



Besides our extensive selection of cheese, we also boast a large collection of quality wines from the foremost vineyards, such as you would find on the wine menus of better-quality restaurants.

Also available are delectable delicacies such as olives, sun-dried tomatoes and various kinds of mustard. Finally, you may rely on us, not just during the holiday season but throughout the year, to provide all your promotional and personnel gifts.
