Tourist seeks farmer
Beside the cheesefarm Jacobs Hoeve lies our organic milking sheep farm. The milk from these sheep is made into sheep cheese. Both a sheep stable and a goat stable are to be found on the Jacobs Hoeve grounds. The sheep fold is unfortunately not open to the public; however, the goat stable is always open to visitors. You may view sheep with their lambs and our famous Boer goats almost year-round. There is also an old operator’s milking pit to be seen. Our milking sheep are milked in an identical operator’s pit. If you’re lucky enough to catch the farmer feeding the animals, he will always be happy to answer your questions about the sheep and goats.
