Katwoude is located on the IJsselmeerdijk between Monnickendam and Volendam. The rural setting with farms in the surrounding area is a quintessential example of the North Holland polder, where the famous Dutch cheeses originate from. Next to the dike is the characterful Jacobs Hoeve. Our staff welcomes you in traditional costumes and demonstrate how cheese is made. The cosy shop offers a wide range of Henri Willig cheese, souvenirs and typical Dutch fine foods. Admission is free.
Travel organisation prefererably reserve a bus visit to our cheese farm, but are also welcome without an appointment. Private visitors don't need to make a reservation. Access and parking are free.
Since 2018 it is also possible to visit our organic Jersey farm. Through a self-guided tour you'll learn how Henri Willig takes care of his animals.
